Job Title: Distribution Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Distribution Supervisor to join our team at Breedon Group plc. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for driving performance and efficiency within the distribution function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procedures to enhance the performance of our logistics fleet.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including hauliers, customers, and drivers.
  • Work with local management to ensure customer deliveries are met cost-efficiently and harmoniously.
  • Identify opportunities for logistical efficiencies and synergies to reduce haulage costs and maximize truck utilization.
  • Act as a point of escalation for queries from internal drivers, external hauliers, and owner drivers.
  • Liaise with the Transport Manager on compliance issues, excessive costs, vehicle issues, and fleet size.

  • Flexible, proactive, and versatile approach to work.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and consider solutions.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound strategic, budgetary, and financial knowledge.
  • Ability to perform and lead the team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
