Role Summary:


We are seeking talented Control Panel/Hardware design engineers to join a world-class team in preparation for exciting upcoming projects.
The primary responsibility of this role is to design hardware systems utilizing proprietary components for control panels, with a focus on PLCs, MCCs, Drives & Controls, and Switchgear. This includes preparing, reviewing, and verifying essential calculations and designs. The position may require limited travel, including potential periods at client sites for surveys and solution design.
Key Qualifications:


• Proficient in designing electrical panels that incorporate PLCs and low-voltage distribution systems.
• Experience in the design of electrical cabling and containment systems.
• A minimum of a degree in a relevant field or an HND with additional project implementation experience.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Ability to obtain security clearance to at least SC level, with potential for DV clearance.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for client interaction and mentoring.
• Capability to mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.
• Competence in developing technical solutions that meet project and client expectations.
• Comprehensive understanding of, or working towards, BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Knowledge of IEC BS EN standards for low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies.
• Confidence to collaborate within a multidisciplinary design team.
• Experience working with production teams to ensure design completion.
Preferred Qualifications:


• Previous experience in a highly regulated industry.
• Understanding of EMC practices.
• Working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status.
• MEng qualification.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Site experience in surveying or installation.
