About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Practice Physiotherapist to join our team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our Integrated Musculoskeletal Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our physiotherapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessment, triage, and management of patients with musculoskeletal conditions, using advanced clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice.
  • Lead the supervision and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students, ensuring they meet the standards set by a degree/higher degree level.
  • Develop and deliver individual physiotherapy treatment programmes based on advanced clinical knowledge and current practice guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive an equitable service and promote a culture of patient-centred care.
  • Contribute to the development of our physiotherapy services, including education and training, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in physiotherapy or a related field.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, including experience in specialist assessment and management.
  • Leadership and management experience, including supervising and assessing students and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centred care and evidence-based practice.
