We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality Specialist Speech and Language Therapy service to clients with voice and swallowing difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of clients with swallowing and communication disorders, particularly voice problems, in an outpatient setting and in the community.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and the Care Home Support Team to provide a comprehensive service.
  • Contribute to service development in SLT services within the areas of voice, dysphagia, and older people services.
  • Deliver training and teaching to carers, other health professionals, and students.

Requirements:

Competence in dysphagia is essential, and we would be happy to develop your skills with voice patients. We welcome applicants who wish to work part-time, and a job share may be considered.

We strongly encourage and support vaccination as the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues, and patients and service users when working in our healthcare settings.

The post holder will provide a Specialist Speech and Language Therapy service as an autonomous SLT working with the Care Home Support Team for clients who require domiciliary visits or can attend outpatient appointments.

Provide training for staff in care homes and other health professionals about swallowing difficulties. Provide student placements and may support more senior colleagues to supervise more junior colleagues.
