Job Overview

This role is based 2-3 days per week in our office, with the remainder being home-based. We are seeking a Software Developer to work on challenging projects with the UK Government.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop large-scale Oracle-based applications for local authorities and central government clients in the UK.
  • Design and implement Oracle Apex applications, ensuring high-quality and secure solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle technologies and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the development process.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of full life cycle development of large applications using an Oracle database and toolset.
  • Solid PL/SQL skills, with experience of writing design specifications, problem solving, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with web design and use of Oracle Apex.
  • Appreciation of application and data security.
  • Relevant Computer Science or Technical Degree.
  • Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with technologies including XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with Pro C.
