Role:

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects within manufacturing, taking ownership of delivery, project planning, execution, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creation and maintenance of supporting documentation, including manufacturing routings, layouts, and instructions.
  • Definition, performance, and implementation of investigations into non-conformance through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Inspection activities, including the creation of non-conformance reports, in-process, and final inspection protocols.
  • Work cross-functionally with different departments, such as Design, Quality, Procurement, and external suppliers.
  • NC programming of multi-axis turning, milling, grinding, and EDM machines.
  • Programming of CMMs using PC-DMIS.
Requirements:
  • Qualification to HNC level or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with relevant training as a Manufacturing Technician/Engineer.
  • Experience in a modern manufacturing facility, with a good understanding of modern machining techniques and problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Computer/software literacy.
