We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our Clinical Pharmacy team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a valued member of our team, you will provide essential support in the provision of a safe, efficient, and effective pharmaceutical service.
Main Responsibilities- Assist in the ordering and dispensing of in-patient and discharge prescriptions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Analyse patients' own medication and confirm suitability for use prior to discharge, facilitating a safe and efficient transition from hospital to home.
- Improve patient access to their own medicines by providing assistance and support in the receipt, storage, and transfer of medicines between clinical areas.
- Contribute to the reduction of waste by utilising patients' own medication and following medicine returns policies and guidelines.
