Brown & Brown Europe is seeking an experienced Application Support Developer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide technical expertise to resolve complex software incidents and queries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level support for escalated technical / software issues from 1st and 2nd line support teams within agreed timescales.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex software issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform advanced configurations and software updates to enhance systems as specified in requirements.
  • Participate in IT projects, including software updates and deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Share knowledge with team members and contribute to training initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide regular reporting to IT Manager
  • Ensure that relevant process documentation and procedures are kept up to date and in line with internal IT standards.


Requirements:

  • Background in software development/engineering with commercial experience in Microsoft tech stack - C#.NET, SQL Server, Rest Api's
  • Experience as a Third Line Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Ensure that relevant incident, problem and change escalations are dealt with appropriately.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyse and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle in an agile environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant work experience.
