Job Title: Payroll Coordinator

SCCI Alphatrack Ltd is seeking a skilled Payroll Coordinator to oversee the payroll process for the company's group of companies, encompassing approximately 450 employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for simplifying the PAYE structure and enhancing the collection of monthly payroll data.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collect and compile all necessary payroll data in a timely manner on a monthly basis to provide to third-party service providers.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or potential errors.
  • Manage third-party service providers to ensure timely and accurate payrolls across all companies.
  • Develop and implement improvements to the payroll process to support the company's expansion.
  • Consolidate the number of PAYE schemes across the group.
  • Assist with the production of UK statutory filing requirements, including P11D and PSA returns.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operating procedures by collaborating with internal and external partners.
  • Provide management reports and analysis as required.
  • Support the production and posting of nominal ledger payroll accounts.
  • Maintain an adequate control environment, ensuring controls are consistently executed and change control is applied appropriately.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date employee records in accordance with HMRC and GDPR requirements.
Key Performance Areas:
  • Deliver payroll data to third-party service providers by agreed timelines.
  • Reduce the number of PAYE schemes across the group.
  • Enhance the process of collecting payroll data, particularly timesheet and overtime data.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in payroll is essential.
  • Knowledge of Sage payroll is beneficial.
  • Experience in managing third-party payroll providers is advantageous.
  • Diploma in Payroll Management or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building, and partnering skills.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
  • Wholly office-based in Harlow.
  • Restrictions on annual leave during key payroll processing times.
