Lunchtime Supervisor

We are seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team at Harris Primary Academy Kent House. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare, and good conduct of children during the lunchtime break period.

• Undertake direct supervision of pupils in designated areas, ensuring safe and orderly conduct.
• Assist with daily decisions on areas for pupil use, such as wet lunchtimes.
• Support the safe use of children's play equipment.
• Promote games and activities, motivating pupils during the lunchtime break, ensuring school rules regarding games allowed are met and that health and safety procedures are maintained.
• Support and supervise pupils in the dining area as appropriate, such as encouraging them to eat, helping with food choices, and returning trays and cutlery.
• Support pupils in play/other areas who may require assistance.
• Understand the educational, social, and welfare needs of pupils in the midday break.
• Experience of supervising pupils (individuals or groups) in a relevant age setting.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Ability to encourage and inspire young people.
• Ability to judge when advice/assistance is needed to meet pupil's needs.
