About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Textiles Design Manager to join our team at House of Fashion Associates. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating premium designs for bedding, curtains, and cushions for our brand and external high street retailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and developing premium designs for bedding, curtains, and cushions
  • Managing a small team of designers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of designs
  • Collaborating with the Head of Product to develop design concepts and strategies
  • Analyzing customer and competitor trends to identify design and color gaps
  • Presenting design concepts to commercial and premium customers
  • Designing to customer specifications and briefs
  • Preparing designs for coloring and printing, ensuring they are in repeat and color-reduced
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of samples
  • Logging and organizing quality samples for development
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in textiles soft furnishings design for a premium textiles home furnishings brand
  • Design degree in printed textiles and ideally with homeware/bedding experience
  • Good drawing skills
  • Knowledge of design software such as Ned Graphics or AVA, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Ability to work as a team and use own initiative
  • Experience in soft furnishing textile design for high street retailers
  • Ability to organize a busy workload and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
