Key Responsibilities- Assist the Finance Manager in preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Support the Finance Manager in the half-year end and year-end reporting and audit process.
- Liaise closely with the Commercial team to manage project budgets and forecasts and subcontractor accounts.
- Ensure accurate accounting for VAT, subcontractors tax and CITB payments as appropriate.
- Support the continuous improvements and developments of reporting, procedures and governance.
- A professionally qualified accountant or qualified by experience, ideally within the house-building sector.
- A strong team motivator with the drive and tenacity to achieve the goals of the business.
- Highly numerate with strong IT and financial analysis skills, coupled with the ability to interpret data and assess impacts on the business.
- Experience of managing budgets/cost control, and planning and organising work to meet targets.
- Able and willing to contribute a professional opinion to the overall management of the business.
