Hays Careers is currently recruiting for a Technical Director for Water Projects to be based in a leading design, engineering and project management organisation dedicated to delivering end-to-end services to clients across the water sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the technical delivery and safety of multiple water projects and programs, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Serve as the escalation point for resolving complex technical issues and provide expert advice to project teams.
  • Define the technical strategic direction for water projects and bid proposals, and act as a subject-matter expert in water engineering.
  • Champion technical excellence and continuous improvement within the organisation, while ensuring quality assurance standards in water design.
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver integrated water design solutions and develop and manage the water engineering capabilities within the organisation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster innovation, advance knowledge, and inspire others in the field of water engineering.
  • Be a strategic partner for clients, recognised as a go-to expert in water engineering.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in water engineering and project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in water engineering.
