Fire Service and Maintenance Engineer

Location: Slough

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum + overtime/travel time/out of hours retainer fees

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fire Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality maintenance and servicing solutions within the fire safety sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems and emergency lighting solutions in accordance with relevant British Standards.
  • Maintain emergency lighting systems and associated equipment, including fire extinguishers and AOVs.
  • Conduct van stock checks and work with the Technical Supervisor to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Maintain a strong health and safety mindset, proactively identifying and reporting risks to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • A flexible approach to work (minimum 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri) with opportunities for additional earnings through overtime and participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
  • A full UK Driving License.
  • Previous experience with fire alarm systems, specifically analogue addressable and conventional systems.
  • FIA training (or equivalent) in compliance with BS5839-1 Fundamentals.
