About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Technician to join our team at Alstom. As an Electrical Systems Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Diagnose and rectify technical faults on the service fleet to ensure units remain in service.
  • Provide technical support to depot teams in the provision of fault finding expertise and assistance with train repair activities.
  • Conduct testing and re-commissioning activities on vehicles and trains in accordance with pre-written test and commissioning procedures.
  • Assist with skills development and training of colleagues.
Requirements
  • Electrical based NVQ Level 3 in rolling stock or aircraft.
  • Practical experience and a sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering aspects of modern Electric Multiple Units.
  • IT skills - competent user of Personal Computer, including office packages, email and intranet.
  • Technical experience and strong knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Self-motivation.
