Job Opportunity with CDM Recruitment Ltd

We are working with a leading food manufacturing company in search of an electrically biased maintenance technician.

The role is a dayshift position with excellent training and progression opportunities on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including motors, sensors, control panels.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical machinery to reduce downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems, machinery, and production lines.
  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety standards and regulations, such as food safety protocols, HACCP, and electrical codes.
  • Diagnose faults in electrical components using tools such as multi-meters and other testing devices.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including repairs, inspections, and parts replacement, using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Requirements:

  • Experience as an electrically biased maintenance technician.
  • Experience in a food or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • PLC knowledge is advantageous although not essential.
  • Ability to work alone or part of a team.
