We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychology NQT Examiner to join our team of subject experts. As an Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of marking for GCE A Level Psychology candidates.

About the Role

The Examiner will be responsible for marking candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures. Most subjects will be marked onscreen using ePEN, which can be done from home. A few subjects are still marked in the traditional method, using paper scripts sent through the post.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
  • Ensure all administration is completed as specified

Requirements

  • You will be currently completing your NQT year within the relevant qualification and subject
  • You will have a degree or equivalent
  • You will be a qualified teacher (NQT)
  • We will consider applicants who have a psychology degree, but their teaching experience is in a different subject

Competencies Required

  • You will have the ability to work well under pressure
  • You will have the ability to meet deadlines
  • You will have a high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme
