We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to lead our biotechnology development efforts at Elanco. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the development of new biologics products.

• Provide technical leadership for upstream development of biologics products, ensuring phase-appropriate technical development and collaboration with relevant functions.
• Lead process development projects in our development laboratories and pilot plant areas, ensuring a sound laboratory/pilot plant program aligned with global requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful commercialization of new products.
• Develop and implement control strategies and design spaces through experimentation, applying Quality by Design principles.
• Participate in the evaluation of new business opportunities and provide technical expertise to support scientific problems across the network.
• Coach and mentor development scientists to ensure delivery of high-quality technical reports.

• Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (biochemistry, biotechnology/biologics or related discipline) or relevant experience in a science field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in development/commercialization activities for pharmaceutical or vaccine products.
• Demonstrated success in the development and commercialization of new pharmaceutical or vaccine technologies.
• Experience in regulated environments and working under Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including strategic and creative thinking.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence teams.
