About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in mainstream and specialist provisions.

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance learning in the classroom, deliver core subject interventions, and assist students with their academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies
  • Support students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Deliver core subject interventions to small groups or on a 1:1 basis
  • Assist students with their academic progress and emotional wellbeing
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour and lead classes during PPA cover
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience working within education
  • SEN experience is essential
  • Able to work Monday - Friday, term time only
