Field Service Technician

About the Role:
This is a remarkable opportunity for a Field Service Technician to become part of the team at Nationwide Platforms. In this role, you will travel to various customer locations, performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on our powered access machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, repairs, and maintenance of a diverse range of powered access equipment both in the workshop and on-site.
  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance of all equipment and products.
  • Complete all necessary documentation in accordance with company protocols.
  • Oversee the refurbishment of equipment and products as required.
  • Encourage collaboration among colleagues across all locations to enhance workshop efficiency.
  • Communicate with relevant team members to estimate and advise on repair costs, providing recommendations regarding equipment write-offs, damages, and customer charges.
  • Ensure the service vehicle is stocked with spare parts at all times.
  • Maintain and update service records in our systems and ensure daily worksheets are accurately filled out.
  • Comply with company health and safety guidelines.
  • Follow damage protocols, ensuring that any product damage is reported.
  • Maximize productivity in alignment with company objectives.
  • Represent the company professionally and uphold the values of the business in all interactions with customers and stakeholders.
  • Actively promote a culture of safety by leading by example.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required.

Candidate Profile:
  • Possess a relevant general maintenance qualification and demonstrable experience in the plant rental industry is preferred.
  • Experience in plant maintenance, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics/fault finding.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of the significance of exceptional customer service.
