Conveyancing Paralegal Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conveyancing Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team at Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist solicitors in handling residential and commercial conveyancing matters from start to completion.
  • Draft and review contracts, transfer documents, and other legal documents related to property transactions.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, mortgage lenders, estate agents, and other third parties.
  • Conduct property searches, including land registry and local authority searches.
  • Manage post-completion tasks such as Stamp Duty submissions and registration with the Land Registry.
  • Maintain accurate case records and update clients regularly on the progress of their transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a paralegal in a conveyancing department (minimum 1 year preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process, both residential and commercial.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with conveyancing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
