About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team on Cantilupe Ward, a ten-bedded acute inpatient ward for older adults with organic mental health problems. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver individualised care plans, ensuring the needs of our patients are met and their independence is promoted.
  • Administer medication, liaise with medical and therapy teams, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Supervise healthcare support workers and junior colleagues, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Contribute to the development of risk assessments, care plans, and discharge planning to ensure seamless transitions for our patients.

Person Specification

We are looking for a registered nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality care to older adults. Essential qualifications include a degree in nursing, registration with the NMC, and evidence of continuing professional development. Desirable skills include experience in mental health nursing, risk assessment, and person-centred care.
