Reporting to the Lead EDS Engineer, you will work closely with our team to ensure that all new JCB product programmes meet the required technical deliverables against tight timelines. Your technical expertise, hands-on experience, and project delivery skills will be essential in driving the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  2. Select the most suitable hardware platforms to deliver technical solutions, considering environmental and cost targets.
  3. Develop prototype solutions to validate proof of concept ideas in a fast-paced agile environment.

  5. Coordinate with 3rd party vendors to release new components.
  6. Ensure design for manufacture and assembly considerations.
  7. Work with industry-standard development techniques, including harness routing and component selection.
  8. Support the coordination of parts for builds, ensuring the latest design revisions are reviewed promptly.
  9. Maintain accurate records of designs, revisions, and updates.

  11. Support cause and effect analysis, risk assessments, FMEA, 8D, and Ishikawa/fishbone.
About You

We are looking for a qualified individual with a HND/Degree level in an electronic/software-based technology discipline or equivalent experience. Your experience in Tier 1 or OE sectors, particularly in CAD, ECN release, and Siemens Teamcentre, will be highly valued.

You should be comfortable working with electrical design tools, performing engineering calculations, and understanding good practice for E&E component placement and harness routing. A good understanding of design verification processes and the ability to read and digest complex information will also be essential.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, company pension scheme, medical insurance, dental care schemes, access to our healthy living centre, and 33 days annual leave. We are committed to supporting your career progression and development.
