Job Summary:
VIPU Limited is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a project that requires the imaging, racking, and powering up of 4 new physical servers. The successful candidate will be responsible for building 4 virtual servers on top of these physical servers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a robust Windows Server infrastructure
- Imaging and deployment of new physical servers
- Building and configuring virtual servers
- Migrating software licenses from one server to another using Open LM and Flex LM technologies
- Decommissioning and deploying new Windows servers
- Collaborating with a Software Asset and License manager to ensure seamless license migration
- Providing technical expertise to ensure infrastructure stability and uptime
- Working in a demerger environment and manufacturing setting
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Windows Server and virtualization technologies
- Excellent understanding of infrastructure, migration, and configuration
- Experience working in a demerger environment and manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of Open LM and Flex LM technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will be required to work onsite in Northampton for the duration of the 2-week contract.
