Cost Management Specialist – Transportation and Infrastructure

Role Summary

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of CPC's Commercial Services Division within the Transportation and Infrastructure Business Unit as a seasoned Cost Management Specialist, overseeing cost and contract management across various significant transportation and infrastructure initiatives.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management roles
  • Familiarity with both Pre and Post Contract phases
  • Expertise in cost management tasks, including monthly financial reporting, cash flow oversight, and project forecasting
  • Prior experience as a commercial manager in the Transportation and Infrastructure sector is highly advantageous, with a preference for Rail experience
  • Understanding of the tendering process and procurement practices
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining effective contract administration processes and reporting systems tailored to project needs
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to function effectively within integrated delivery teams to achieve optimal commercial results in dynamic project environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with NEC and NR contract forms
  • Experience with complex, high-profile projects
  • Knowledge of project and change management methodologies
  • Degree qualification or equivalent
  • Professional qualification or progress towards one
  • Experience working with or for publicly funded organizations

  • Guidance and training towards achieving MRICS or equivalent qualifications, with mentorship from experienced professionals within the team
  • Regular one-on-one meetings with your line manager to discuss structured development goals
