The Requirements Manager will act as the linchpin between business needs and technical solutions, gathering, analysing, and documenting user requirements to ensure they are clear, comprehensive, and achievable for development teams.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and end-users to understand their needs, pain points, and desired functionalities for new IT systems or enhancements.
- Clearly document user requirements using industry best practices and ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the project scope and objectives.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating business goals into technical specifications that developers can understand and implement.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather and manage changing requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with developers and testers to ensure the final product meets user needs and adheres to all technical specifications.
- Maintain and update requirements documentation throughout the project lifecycle to reflect any changes or updates.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in IT requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex user needs into clear requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
- Proficient in writing clear and concise user stories, use cases, and other technical documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's degree preferred) or 5+ years of demonstrable experience as a BA or Requirements Manager.
- Have technical training eg BCS Diploma, Lean six sigma, agile.
