**Job Summary**

GB News is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Close Protection Officer to join our team. As a Close Protection Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our media personnel, equipment, and locations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop comprehensive security plans to mitigate potential threats.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, utilizing your expertise to ensure the safety of our personnel and assets.
  • Provide physical protection to high-profile individuals and public figures, maintaining a high level of situational awareness at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding client information and movements, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Collaborate with our media team to ensure seamless coverage, while maintaining a watchful eye on potential security threats.

**Requirements**

  • Level 3 Close Protection Qualification
  • Level 3 First Person On Scene (FPOS) or Level 3 First Responder Emergency Care (FREC)
  • SIA Close Protection Licence
  • Previous Military/Police experience is highly desirable
  • Experience working with high-profile/celebrity clients is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure

  • DBS Check up to date
  • Ability to interact confidently and professionally with a wide range of people
  • Customer-facing presence and attitude when working at studio site
