Teaching Social Sciences at Horizon Teachers

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Social Science Teacher to join our team at Horizon Teachers, a respected education recruitment consultancy in London.

This role involves teaching Social Science subjects up to Key Stage 5, providing students with a deep understanding of the subject and helping them achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in Social Science subjects, including Sociology, Psychology, and other related disciplines, across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to ensure each student achieves their best.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and curriculum enhancements.
  • Contribute to the broader school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, events, and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in Social Sciences.
  • Experience teaching Social Science subjects up to Key Stage 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Social Sciences.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
