Learning Support Specialist

As a Learning Support Tutor at the LMP Group, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with identified learning difficulties and disabilities to achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver tailored support to learners through one-on-one, group, and webinar activities to facilitate their development in Learning Support and Functional Skills.
- Conduct regular interventions to monitor and support ongoing learner progress.
- Implement a pedagogical approach during all interactions with learners, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide pastoral support to learners using the Learning Support Signposting Tools when needed.
- Coordinate progressive learning and assessment visits according to individual learning plans.
- Utilize approved learning materials, including Cognassist and company resources, to support learner development.
- Support learners in achieving their qualifications within allocated timescales for Functional Skill delivery, maintaining high-quality delivery standards.
- Teaching qualification, such as a C/DET or equivalent, or working towards.
- Mathematics and/or English qualifications at least at the equivalent of a level 3 standard.
- Desirable: degree-educated in the Business or Education industry, or subject specialist qualification in Mathematics and/or English.
- Assessor Award (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience delivering high standards of learning and support.
- Extensive experience in teaching and assessment roles, delivering English, Maths, and Additional Learning Support.
- Experience in remote delivery of Functional Skills and Additional Learning Support.
- Ability to manage the full learner journey, including initial assessment, IAG, diagnostic, teaching-learning-assessment, and classroom delivery.
- Experience using e-portfolio systems.
- At least five years' experience in an education training and development environment.
- Experience using the Cognassist platform with learners.
- Ability to support and motivate learners through challenging times.
- Ability to support learning with the implementation of reasonable adjustments for learners.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage own diary.
The post holder must maintain confidentiality of information about clients, staff, and other LMP stakeholders. Some work is confidential, and information gained must not be communicated to other persons except in the recognised course of duty.
The post holder must meet the requirements of the General Data Regulation Act.
