Hoare Lea is a leading engineering consultancy seeking a skilled ICT Engineer to join our Intelligent Buildings Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative ICT solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure and flexible network environments for our clients' buildings.
- Develop effective digital infrastructure to ensure seamless communication across a building's estate and beyond.
- Collaborate with landlords, developers, and project teams to create expandable ICT solutions that achieve industry-recognised certifications.
- Model ICT equipment in 3D using BIM tools such as BIM 360.
- Coordinate architectural requirements for ICT equipment installation.
- Produce reports, specifications for tender, commissioning documentation, and design notes.
- Develop integrated data solutions and understand their relationships.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest ICT concepts and design models.
Requirements
- Solid electrical and mechanical engineering background.
- In-depth technical knowledge of ICT concepts and design models.
- In-depth technical knowledge of ICT structured cabling, copper fibre, and blow fibre tubing.
- In-depth technical knowledge of ICT active network design (core and access layer) and Wi-Fi networks.
- Strong report writing skills and ability to convey new concepts in visual forms such as flow charts and topologies.
- Proficiency in BIM tools such as Autodesk BIM 360, Revit/CAD, MS Visio, PowerPoint, and MS OFFICE.
