Job Title: Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist to join our team in South Wales. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with cancer, working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.

About the Role:
  • Act as a Consultant Medical Oncologist, providing expert care to patients with cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of side effects.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including radiologists, surgeons, and nurses, to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear and concise information about their diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.
  • Assess and prioritize patient requirements, delegating effectively to others as needed.
  • Recognize, review, and report changes in patient condition to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Perform basic administrative and clerical tasks, such as keeping records of test results and writing prescriptions.
Requirements:
  • Be a GMC registered Doctor (you do not need to be on the Specialist Register).
  • Have relevant experience at Consultant level, or references to support your transition up to Consultant level.
  • Hold evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK (unfortunately locum jobs aren't able to offer visa sponsorship).
  • You will need to pass an enhanced background check (DBS).
