Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the store department, ensuring efficient workflow and collaboration with the stores team.
- Supervise and motivate team members to maintain high standards in supply ordering for patient care, ward requirements, and retail operations.
- Conduct regular inventory assessments and stock checks to uphold accurate records.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, enforcing strict inventory management protocols, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Coordinate purchasing activities to align stock levels with demand, minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure optimal stock levels and adherence to cleanliness and safety regulations.
Qualifications: A current food hygiene certificate is essential for this role, along with a solid understanding of food safety systems and allergen legislation. Proficiency in computer systems, including Pecos and Microsoft applications, is advantageous.
Work Schedule: This position requires a commitment of 5 days per week, primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work to maintain service levels and cover for absences. Flexibility is crucial, with working hours ranging from 6:00 am to 7:30 pm.
Benefits: We offer competitive pay rates for weekend shifts, along with a generous annual leave entitlement of 27 days, increasing to 33 days, inclusive of public holidays. Access to the NHS pension scheme and various health service benefits and discounts are also provided.
