About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Finance and Financial Sustainability to join our team at NHS Dumfries and Galloway. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in leading the Financial Management function and supporting the delivery of our Financial Recovery Programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong budgetary and financial control, ensuring compliance with statutory financial targets.
  • Provide professional financial advice and management information to support the delivery of our Financial Recovery Programme.
  • Work closely with senior staff to develop short and medium-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with local, regional, and national priorities.
  • Deputise for the Deputy Director of Finance, including attendance and presentation at NHS Board, Performance Committee, and other similar meetings.
Requirements
  • Qualified to CCAB, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience at a management level within the public sector.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
