About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at ASMPT SMT Solutions. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering department, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to our Manufacturing Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee production support for the printer build to ensure timely and high-quality machine delivery.
  • Ensure production documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and that products are built to the correct quality standards.
  • Liaise with other disciplines and departments to develop and deploy test and verification equipment into the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with engineers throughout the design cycle and participate in design reviews to ensure smooth product transition from design to production.
  • Attend project meetings and communicate outcomes with the Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Ensure design changes are implemented promptly and flow smoothly into production.
  • Undertake tasks in other production departments as needed, including travel to national and international locations.
  • Perform electrical and electronic fault finding, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Develop and manage complex electronic systems and processes.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and experience in managing complex projects.

  • You will have a BSc or MSc in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • You will have experience in successfully managing and completing complex projects, with good cross-discipline communication skills.
  • You will have a good understanding of modern manufacturing methods, including current machining and fabrication techniques.
  • You will have experience working in a low-volume electrical mechanical environment.
  • You will have experience using 3D CAD (desirable).
  • You will have an understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies (desirable).
  • You will have experience with 3D printing (desirable).
