Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team in a secondary school in Newport, Wales.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to support our school in maintaining a safe and productive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management experience and an understanding of various subjects taught at Secondary level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a classroom of learners, maintaining a safe and respectful environment
  • Prepare the classroom for lessons and deliver a variety of work prepared by the absent class teacher
  • Engage learners with both classroom and lab-based activities
  • Be flexible, think on your feet, and show enthusiasm for a variety of subjects
  • Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies

Requirements:

  • At least 3 months' experience working with children
  • Ideally be educated to a degree level
  • Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
