Key Responsibilities

Are you ready to advance your career in merchandising? As a Junior Merchandiser, you will engage with leading footwear brands in a vibrant Head Office setting.

  • Take charge of the Kids & Accessories department, overseeing stock management, forecasting key items, and coordinating with brands on cancellations.
  • Collaborate with the buying team to develop future ranges, ensuring a robust selection.
  • Manage the planning system effectively, optimizing stock and open-to-buy (OTB) levels.

Relationship Management

  • Foster strong relationships with key brands.
  • Generate and analyze weekly performance reports.
  • Prepare and present data for meetings, including necessary approvals.
  • Strategically plan promotions and markdowns for the department.
  • Coordinate intake processes to maximize sales and ensure optimal stock flow.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, particularly in Buying and Supply Chain.

Team Leadership

  • Oversee team management and workload distribution.
  • Facilitate training and development aligned with departmental and individual goals.
  • Contribute to senior management meetings by presenting data and insights.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience as a Junior Merchandiser or Senior Assistant Merchandiser in a retail environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve results.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Commercially aware with strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Dynamic, proactive, and effective communicator.
  • Strong teamwork and management skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
