In this role, you will be part of phs Ireland, reporting directly to the Managing Director as a key member of the management team. Your responsibilities will include providing senior-level commercial and financial guidance, analytical support, and challenge to the MD and other managers. This encompasses overseeing daily financial operations (management accounts preparation, payroll, purchase ledger, and credit control) on-site, with direct oversight of one Assistant Finance Manager. Responsibilities of the Strategic Finance Advisor with phs Ireland

Deliver proactive and insightful financial analysis and counsel on operational matters and commercial decision-making. This includes pricing strategies, investment opportunities, acquisitions, business cases, capital expenditure requirements, and monitoring costs and benefits. Assist the Managing Director in the systematic, profitable growth of the business in alignment with the phs Ireland business strategy. Provide clear and actionable management information to facilitate informed decision-making. Present management reports in a consistent, cohesive format, interpreting variances and trends in financial data, and linking these to operational performance. Prepare the Division's monthly performance reviews and board reports, presenting meaningful outcomes to senior leadership. Coordinate the Division's budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering insightful analysis and commentary to the phs Ireland Leadership Team and Group Finance department. Ensure a robust financial control framework is maintained, and that financial systems and reporting adhere to the highest standards. Accuracy of financial data and compliance with legal standards are paramount. Collaborate with the MD, Group Pricing Team, and leaders to formulate pricing strategies that secure new business under acceptable commercial terms (including appropriate margin and risk assessment) and improve operational efficiency and divisional profitability. Work alongside the Group Management Team to implement new systems and processes that align with those used across other divisions of the Group. Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring that all employees are compensated accurately, including the calculation of commissions and bonuses. Ideal Candidate Profile for the Strategic Finance Advisor with phs Ireland A commercially astute, proactive self-starter, based in or around Dublin – a qualified accountant with a recognized accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA). Experience as a Business Partner within a senior management team, with a solid understanding of the key business drivers that enhance value. Proven ability to maintain profitability, quality, and service standards using key performance indicators and metrics to identify potential issues proactively. You will exhibit commercial awareness and understanding, ensuring that business opportunities are evaluated effectively to minimize risk and sustain/improve profit margins. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of contributing to the development of strategy and policy across various business issues. An open and honest communicator who positively engages and constructively challenges senior managers to safeguard the business. Extensive financial management experience in a business-to-business service organization, demonstrating a strong work ethic, ownership, and results-oriented mindset.
