Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Requirements Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Requirements Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the requirements set in DOORS, processing change requests, and engaging with stakeholders. You will also undertake activities to support team deliverables, through planning, scheduling, task management, and delegation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the requirements set in DOORS to ensure that they are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Process change requests and engage with stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned.
  • Undertake activities to support team deliverables, including planning, scheduling, task management, and delegation.
  • Review UK Platform System design documents to ensure that SWS interfaces are captured correctly and that unequivocal verification evidence of system compliance with these requirements is produced.

Requirements:

  • Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
  • Systems requirements Engineering verification and validation experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage and build relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Previous experience of reviewing System technical design documents and assessing against requirements.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Dreadnought design policies for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of the Trident SWS and associated SW competencies.
