We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our thriving and friendly Northampton-based Commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small book of commercial business for existing clients and growing and developing a strong pipeline of new business in relation to various lines of Commercial Insurance, while ensuring full FCA compliance.

Key areas of responsibility include:

* Retaining existing clients through active client management
* Building clients' confidence in Astute through demonstrating knowledge and delivery of service
* Identifying and contacting potential clients, converting to new business
* Communicating the firms' proposition to clients effectively
* Generating referrals and making introductions for the client to other areas of the firms' operations
* Following Astute processes and policies
* Working within FCA rules and guidance as interpreted by the firms' compliance policies and processes
* Proactively creating, managing, and following through prospects to create a pipeline of prospective new clients
* Collecting fees and premiums in accordance with the firms' processes
* Building good working relationships with your immediate team and all other stakeholders and effectively networking with suppliers and clients
* Achieving assigned sales targets

To be successful in this role, you must have the following skills:

* Previous experience as a Commercial Account Executive, ideally with 5 years industry exposure
* Strong understanding of commercial insurance products
* Experience of working to high standards of FCA compliance
* Consistent record of target achievement and business growth
* I.T. skills including use of an insurance IT system, ideally Acturis or OpenGI
* Strong organisation skills
* The ability to work to a high level of accuracy
* Exemplary customer service skills with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and insurers
* Regulatory and compliance awareness
* Willingness to work towards Cert CII or already hold qualifications
