Complex Care Midwife Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife to join our team at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert midwifery care to women with complex needs in our antenatal clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct maternity care to women with pre-existing co-morbidities in conjunction with the maternal medicine consultant and multidisciplinary teams.
- Run an antenatal clinic to meet the needs of women with complex medical conditions or diabetes in pregnancy and triage self-referrals into maternity services.
- Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate maternity care pathways for women with complex needs.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop maternal medicine care pathways and frameworks in line with national policies.
- Provide excellent, evidence-based, person-centered midwifery care to women in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings.
- Registered Midwife with evidence of professional development.
- Good level of knowledge and experience in the management of diabetes, hypertension, and other medical conditions.
- Ability to make appropriate clinical decisions in the light of research evidence, informed choice, and individual circumstances.
- Understanding of child protection and awareness of risk management.
- Effective communicator with good organization skills and ability to work autonomously.
