As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Area Supervisor, you will unite various elements to create a supportive and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist colleagues in adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Implement EU network standards, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure technical availability.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to gather and analyze data for process improvement.
  • Facilitate and support both site-based and network-level projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and support your team to foster their professional growth.
A Day in the Life

You'll be stationed at one of our operational sites, providing practical guidance to your team while gaining a clear understanding of site activities.

This role involves data collection and problem-solving in a dynamic environment. You will have the opportunity to develop an operational plan aimed at enhancing site productivity and efficiency, which includes initiating new projects to improve operational processes and equipment maintenance.

After ensuring safety, the most crucial aspect of your role will be to lead your team, manage their performance, and oversee their development, including organizing additional training.

About the Team

The Customer Fulfillment (CF) team is the backbone of Amazon, having evolved from a small group of booksellers to a sophisticated global team managing over 1.5 million orders daily.

This team is foundational to our business, enabling us to expand into new regions and services. With the aid of emerging technologies, we continuously seek ways to enhance our product range and ensure quick, affordable delivery.

Our CF team is integral to the chain that ensures customers receive products at the speed for which we are renowned. Operating from Fulfillment Centers, we manage dynamic inventory and facilitate rapid deliveries around the clock.

Our Fulfillment Centers employ a diverse range of individuals, providing ample opportunities for various skill sets. Some team members work directly with physical products, while others analyze data to support informed decision-making across the business.

Basic Qualifications
  • A UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), BTEC National Diploma (OND), IEng, CEng, or ILM L4+
  • Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production setting handling complex business processes.
  • Experience in managing personnel within an engineering team.
  • Proven ability to liaise and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English, with upper-intermediate proficiency in the local language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with statutory regulations, including compliance checks and machine safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with automated equipment, such as packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
  • Experience utilizing data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies or processes such as Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
