Job Title: Principal Engineer – Product Safety Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Product Safety Engineering team at BAE Systems. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of safety-critical systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of safety-critical systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate safety risks, and develop strategies to improve safety performance.
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety cases and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in safety engineering, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
