Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interim Category Lead to join our team at Michael Page (UK). As a key member of our procurement and supply chain department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives and category management plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives and category management plans to drive business growth and improve efficiency.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery and optimal pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and policies.
- Manage risks within the procurement and supply chain department, ensuring that all activities are aligned with the company's risk management strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the procurement and supply chain function.
Requirements
- A degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management in the public sector, with a strong understanding of strategic procurement and category management principles.
- Expertise in negotiation and supplier relationship management, with a track record of delivering successful outcomes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
What We Offer
- A competitive daily salary rate of circa £400 per day Inside IR35.
