Position Overview

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Competitive Hourly Rate + Company Vehicle, Tool and Mobile Allowance


As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, repairing, diagnosing, disassembling, and reassembling of mechanical power presses at client locations.

Your expertise will be applied to power presses ranging from 1 ton to 1000 tons in capacity.

Proficiency in pneumatic, hydraulic, and lubrication systems is essential.

A solid understanding of various mechanical and friction clutch and brake units is required.

Candidates should possess a comprehensive mechanical knowledge of presses, including clearances, slide settings, disassembly, reassembly, and adjustment of clutches and brakes.

Training opportunities will be provided.


Candidate Requirements:

• A full, clean driving license is mandatory.

• Candidates must possess their own tools.

• Ability to complete all necessary documentation, including service reports and time sheets.

• A qualification in PCN level 2 for NDT crack detection is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel and work nationwide, which may include overnight stays.


Compensation: Competitive hourly rate for fully qualified mechanical engineers.


A company vehicle will be provided, eliminating personal fuel costs and wear on your own vehicle.


Tool and Mobile Phone Allowance included.


Work Location: Primarily based out of company premises with travel to client sites.


Applicants must be based in the UK and reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
