Store Manager Designate Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager Designate to join our team at Heron Foods. As a Store Manager Designate, you will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring availability of stock, and maintaining an outstanding store condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team, including recruiting, training, supervising, and appraising staff
  • Ensure availability of stock, oversee pricing, and efficient stock control
  • Respond to customer queries and complaints, ensuring high levels of customer service
  • Control wage costs and protect company assets
  • Maintain an outstanding store condition, ensuring cleanliness, health & safety legislation, and visual merchandising standards
  • Maximise profitability, meet sales targets, and motivate staff to do so
Requirements:
  • Previous success within a similar Store Manager role, preferably within a fast-paced retail environment
  • Experience in leading, managing, and motivating a team and setting an enthusiastic example
  • An honest and energetic personality, organised and responsive
  • Tenacity and enthusiasm, with an enjoyment of working within a busy and sometimes demanding environment
