The Crowd is seeking a highly skilled Lead Wayfinding Designer to join their team on a permanent basis. As a key member of the design studio, you will be responsible for managing a team of designers and leading wayfinding projects across various sectors.
Working closely with the Managing Director, you will assist in building and maintaining relationships with clients, working strategically to gain new business and drive company growth. In addition to a supportive and welcoming culture, our client offers a range of benefits, including hybrid/remote working, 25 days holiday, profit-share bonus, and private healthcare.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee complex design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to briefs, timelines, and budgets.
- Supervise the creation and quality control of designs, drawings, and specifications across all project phases.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional content showcasing wayfinding work.
- Coordinate with the team and partners to produce assets for active wayfinding projects.
- Spearhead new business efforts, including bid generation, fee proposals, and tender submissions.
- Cultivate business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with the team.
- Manage multiple projects, including budget oversight, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Guide and inspire the design team, overseeing resource management and supporting recruitment.
- Work with the Managing Director to implement the wayfinding strategy and assist in refining the wayfinding proposition.
- Extensive experience leading wayfinding projects across diverse sectors.
- Advanced technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience targeting new business opportunities.
- Versatile in both independent and team-oriented work environments.
- Friendly, approachable, and deeply passionate.
- Skilled in juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
