As a Psychological Support Assistant, you will engage with individuals experiencing mental health challenges who are in need of structured rehabilitation to facilitate their transition into community settings.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support psychological evaluations, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions for our clients, under the guidance of the Senior Psychologist. Additionally, you will assist with various administrative tasks related to clinical operations, including conducting audits, gathering statistical data, and contributing to research initiatives, training sessions, and project development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in psychological evaluations and treatment formulations
- Facilitating therapeutic interventions on an individual or group basis, while monitoring and reporting on their effectiveness
- Aiding in the design and delivery of specialized training for staff
- Supporting reflective practice sessions for team members
- Maintaining and updating clinical databases
- Completing assessments and outcome measures
- Drafting reports for diverse audiences
- Engaging in service evaluation and research activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Conducting clinically relevant audits
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of an upper second-class honours degree in Psychology, qualifying for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- Previous experience as an Assistant Psychologist in a mental health or forensic environment
- Familiarity with office management and administrative responsibilities
- A creative approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to evidence-based therapeutic practices
- Strong organizational abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Adherence to professional standards, including HCPC conduct and BPS ethical guidelines
