About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Craftsperson to join our Estates department at Furness General Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out decoration and building finishes maintenance within our acute and community NHS properties.

Main Responsibilities

Working under the Building Team Leader, you will be required to:

  • Carry out decoration and building finishes maintenance within our properties
  • Work safely and efficiently, with patient and staff safety at the heart of your focus
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Travel between our trust sites as required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full apprenticeship or equivalent approved training
  • NVQ3, BTEC or equivalent
  • Driving licence (B)
  • Working at height related qualification

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would welcome applications from candidates with:

  • City and guild qualifications in relevant subjects
  • Asbestos awareness or similar qualification
  • Qualification in specialist coatings
  • Experience of working in a commercial/industrial setting
  • Experience of safe systems of work
