Job Summary:

Simpson Judge Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Solicitor to lead our team of family law specialists. As a Senior Family Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of family law cases, supervising junior colleagues, and developing business development strategies to promote the department and wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of family law cases from inception to resolution, including advocacy and negotiation.
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues within the department, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Work closely with clients and third-party contacts to build and maintain lasting relationships, providing a first-class service and presenting a positive image of Simpson Judge Ltd.
  • Assist in the business development and networking activities of the department and wider business, identifying opportunities to promote the department and wider business.
  • Recognize, respect, and honour client confidentiality at all times, maintaining a professional attitude and effective communication with clients, team members, and colleagues.
  • Engage in business development to promote yourself, team, and business, with the ability to win work and consistently meet financial targets.

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams) and experience with case management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both on the telephone and in person, with the ability to delegate work to junior members of staff in a clear manner.
  • A good understanding of business development, department finances, and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • A minimum of three years' experience of working as a Family Solicitor is essential.
