About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Project Worker to join our team at Weston Foyer, Weston-Super-Mare. As a Specialist Project Worker, you will play a key role in supporting our customers who have faced homelessness to maximise their own potential and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive support to our customers to help them achieve their goals and aspirations
  • Work closely with staff and customers to deliver a high-quality support service
  • Manage a team of Project Workers to ensure the smooth running of the service
  • Recruit, develop, and train staff within legislative or NVQ frameworks
  • Oversee and monitor the quality of risk tools, assessments, and personalised support plans
  • Liaise with staff to ensure positive outcomes, with a focus on maintaining tenancies and move-on objectives
  • Promote safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments to support, reduce or eliminate risks
  • Complete and monitor health and safety checks within the service

Requirements

  • NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards
  • Proven experience of working with a similar customer group is essential
  • Previous housing-related support is desirable
  • Sound knowledge of housing management, including rents, tenancies, and health and safety
  • Good understanding of occupancy agreements
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and to react effectively under pressure
